The trade war continues to expand:
China News Service, Washington, D.C., April 17, US Secretary of Commerce Ross announced on the 17th that it initiated anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations (ie, "double reverse" investigations) on steel wheel products made in China. On the same day, the U.S. Department of Commerce also preliminarily subsidized the general aluminum alloy plates imported from China.
In his statement on China's steel hub products, Ross stated that the US Department of Commerce will act quickly to conduct a comprehensive and fair assessment of relevant facts to ensure that American companies and workers have equal opportunities for competition.
The U.S. Department of Commerce stated that the launch of this "double counter" investigation was a response to the complaints filed by the two U.S. companies on March 27. It is estimated that the dumping margin of the above products ranges from 12.1% to 231.7%, and involves 56 subsidy programs.
